Shot these on a beautiful winter day in Venice while I was hanging out with my friend Tasha, who I met on set at a Calvin Harris music video shoot, which is actually a pretty funny story, but for another time ;) . We took a stroll through the Venice canals and decided to snap some photos since we were just in time for golden hour, which illuminated the canals and its quirky houses that made me feel like I was somewhere else completely. I loved how the worn-down feel of the canals and the eclectic real estate provided the perfect backdrop for this retro-inspired edgy-chic look.

I love the bold, retro feels of this old scarf. I found this "vintage" scarf in my mom's closet and instantly loved the monochromatic print of it, so I "borrowed" it, as most young daughters do in such instances. It ended up being a perfect remedy for cold winter days and for sprucing up a casual outfit. Throw in a pair of stunna vavavoom shades and a studded bag to chic-ify the final touches of the look.
Do you ever do go through your parent's wardrobe in hopes of reusing something in a different way?
What was your best find from rummaging through your parents' old stuff?
I would love to know more about your "vintage" finds!
