Playful Kill

Finding your own, personal sense of style is like discovering a needle in a haystack. You have to weed through all the other necessary hay to get through to the one thing you're searching for. As the years have gone by with tons of fashion mistakes made along the way, I can now say that I'm slowly starting to grasp what my own style is, which consists of:

A mixture of feminine aspects with edgy pieces, a casual element to tone down any extreme edginess (if applicable), something tight & something loose, and lots of black. #trustinblack

So for a still-summer-weather outfit, I wore this big statement necklace (which I scored at Sole Society's sample sale) to play down the playfulness of the blouse (that you may remember from this post here), leather tights for comfort and edge, and one of my favorite light cardigans to tone down the cool-chic-ness of my black-on-black outfit. Throw on some gold accessories and (needless to say), things were golden.

P.S. For an update on my life, I'm finally moving this Saturday!! After months of preparation and stress, I'm so close to claiming and decorating my own space! I can't wait! I'm literally beaming with excitement as I think of various ways I can spruce up my new home :D
