"I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since you've last heard from me. I've been so busy with life that sometimes, this blog sits on the back burner. This doesn't mean I haven't been thinking about it! I do apologize for the inconsistent postings however...I mean, I do owe you an apology at least, right?

There are several things in life that really takes me outside myself. As I was strolling through this beautiful, modern park, I found myself in an ethereal state of mind in the sunset's haze. Funny how that'll influence the way you edit photos too.

This gingham flannel dress is a great closet staple to have because it's so versatile! You can wear it by itself with jeans/leggings/jeggings for a casual look, or make the outfit more polished and chic by throwing a blazer on top. I love how blazers do that. They add that instant chic touch to any outfit no matter how casual it may be.

Since it's feeling a lot like spring/summer in Cali, I thought it'd be appropriate to show some skin since my top is fully covered (*insert wolf whistle here*). I wore this outfit with my thigh-high socks because these spring nights turn cold real fast. Like I always say, "Always be prepared for the cold." (My Cali-native blood classifies any weather below 70 degrees as 'cold'.)

Okay, so let's talk accessories. You have all seen this gorgeous statement necklace in my previous post here, and it's come back for a repeat performance: tucked under my collars over my shirt. (See a pattern here?) I love using this trick with statement necklaces because it's subtle enough to blend in well with the rest of the outfit, but bold enough to elevate the ensemble to a whole 'nother level. Also, I mixed metals by incorporating gold rings with my gunmetal necklace to match my black, white, and beige outfit.

As an added side note, how cute is my new Michael Kors checkered phone case? It matches my bag AND my gingham flannel dress too perfectly.
