Peaceful & Loud

3:51 PM

Blatant juxtapositions are clichéd and overrated, but like I always say:
"Clichés are clichéd for a reason."
In this case, the serenity of this temple contrasted its metropolitan surroundings, which made it--oddly--even more peaceful. Afterall, we wouldn't know opposites if opposites didn't exist.

I guess in a way, this post is a bit opposite: Warm-toned location mixed with my cool-toned outfit; City girl attire in a zen nature garden; A humble Asian temple in the middle of Downtown LA. It doesn't make sense, but it kinda does at the same time too. It's the weird flux of peaceful and loud where you find zen amongst the bushes of urban chaos.

"Creativity is that marvelous capacity to grasp mutually distinct realities & draw a spark from their juxtaposition."
