Miley Cyrus for Marc Jacobs Spring 2014

1:30 PM

Miley Cyrus is the new face for Marc Jacobs' Spring 2014 ad campaign and despite her outlandish antics and tongue-out overkill, I actually really like her look here.

Being a stylist and also currently being in the process of coordinating a photoshoot for work, I can't help but focus mostly on her and not the clothes. The eery feel of this campaign is irrelevant to spring and, frankly, just weird...but I like weird. Let's be honest here, you can't deny that she looks pretty damn good here too to the point that you almost forget that she's a singer...well...almost. Sans tongue and weird get-ups, she looks serious and that pout...if only I can perfect it like she has in this campaign (now added to my 2014 to-do list). All-in-all, I don't get the campaign, but perhaps that's the point of it. Leave it to Marc Jacobs to be inspired by the oddities of the status quo to provide us with something interesting.

Also her hair! Love the messy pixie cut. She rocks it better than Pink ever has. By all means, I'm not a fan of Miley Cyrus. I don't like her songs, I don't like the way she's seen by the media, I don't like her "I'm-too-hot-for-all-y'all" attitude, the list goes on and on. Having graduated with a marketing degree, I see her internet virality and media exposure as some-what genius. But that's another subject that'll require its own separate post. For now, I guess all I can leave you with is this:
"Don't hate, appreciate!"

 Thanks for stopping by!

Do what makes you EUNIQUE!
