Fall's Perfect Mixed Textures

Leather, cowhide, snakeskin, and pure fashion indulgence. This is my ideal mixed textures outfit.

Leather, cowhide, snakeskin, and pure fashion indulgence. This is my ideal mixed textures outfit.

That origami leather wrap skirt was the foundational piece that I built this outfit upon because (1) it's a statement piece, (2) that asymmetrical hem is too hot to ignore, and (3) the metallic snakeskin mixed in with the subtle brown lining screams Fall to me. Since the skirt is bold, I kept the rest fairly simple and super edgy with this gorgeous Helmut Lang draped blouse and this amazeballs IRO quilted leather jacket. Edgy leather mixed with feminine cuts and drapes... J'adore... Me frickin gusta!

I know what some of you may be thinking: "Cow print clutch bag?! WHY?!" I actually believe that cow prints are gonna be HUGE! (Either that or black and white ink-splatter-esque prints.) The bag has the slightest tinge of brown that fits well with the color scheme of this outfit and adds a textural dimension that elevates this outfit more than a simple black leather bag ever could. Plus, I've been eying Givenchy Antigona bags for the longest time..but *sigh*, investing in one of these bags would set me back monetarily (hashtag #brokewithepensivetaste). Actually, this whole outfit is just too lush for me to actually wear, hence why I've created this Fashion Lusts styling guide instead of actually wearing it. But someday...this will be mine!

As a side note, how cool is this interactive photo? You can click on the red dots to see each piece and where you can purchase them! I'll definitely be making more of these to show you all the clothes I would wear and how I would style them if I weren't #brokewithexpensivetaste.

Till next time, thanks for stopping by!

Do what makes you EUNIQUE!

xoxo, Eunice Kim
